Personal Profile

Dr Chakka is widely experienced Consultant whose NHS and Private sector practice embrace multiple aspects of long-term pain conditions. Dr Chakka’s management focus will help to restore functional improvement based on individual requirements following the lines of evidence-based practice. Dr Chakka is proficient in offering wide range of advanced pain interventions which serves both diagnostic as well as therapeutic purpose. These procedures will be performed usually in theatre setting utilising either ultrasound or x ray, offering a window of pain relief for patients to engage in functional restoration (by participation in physiotherapy, gym or other activities). 

Dr Chakka have completed his under graduation in India (University of Health Sciences). After achieving Masters in Anaesthesia in India, he has relocated to the UK. 

Dr Chakka’s higher specialist training was in Northern Deanery. Dr Chakka has successfully completed one year of Advanced pain Training at Newcastle upon Tyne. Dr Chakka has gained further experience in the management of cancer pain and Neuromodulation in Leeds. He is providing high quality care to all patients as a Consultant at UHCW NHS Trust since 2015. 

He is the Clinical lead for Chronic pain services at UHCW NHS Trust since 2019. He has established Qutenza service at UHCW NHS Trust. Dr Chakka is currently working towards developing Transitional pain service. 

Dr Chakka is Clinical personal Tutor for Warwick medical school. Dr Chakka is a regular Faculty member in Coventry FRCA courses. Dr Chakka strives to share knowledge by training junior colleagues in Pain management and anaesthesia on a regular basis.

Dr Chakka is happily married and enjoys cooking and listening to Indian classical music. Dr Chakka likes cycling. He has participated in ‘Cyclone’ cycling event. Dr Chakka is planning to cycle ‘Way of the Roses’ path cycling next summer.

Dr Chakka offers steroid injections(cortisone), spinal injections, facet joint injections, medial branch blocks, Radiofrequency denervation, sacro-iliac joint injections, Radiofrequency ablation, epidural injections, caudal epidural injections, trigger point injections, selective nerve root blocks, transforaminal epidural injections, nerve root blocks, occipital nerve blocks, inguinal nerve blocks, spermatic cord blocks, knee genicular branch blocks, hip injections,pulsed radio frequency, suprascapular nerve blocks, soft tissue injections, diagnostic nerve blocks, erector spinae blocks, pain modulating drug infusions(Lidocaine infusion).
