About Mr Timothy Eves

Personal Profile

Mr Timothy Eves is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of shoulder and elbow conditions, with a particular focus on primary and complex shoulder joint replacement (arthroplasty) and arthroscopic shoulder surgery. He manages a wide range of problems including injuries, arthritis, tendon disorders, and sports-related conditions. His aim is always to provide clear, personalised advice, enabling patients to understand their options and achieve the best possible outcomes.

Mr Eves completed his undergraduate degree at King’s College London before graduating in medicine from University College London (UCL). He undertook specialist orthopaedic training on the Stanmore rotation, one of the UK’s leading tertiary orthopaedic programmes, and achieved advanced qualifications in both the UK and Europe, including FRCS (Tr & Orth) and FEBOT. He subsequently completed over three years of dedicated fellowship training in shoulder and elbow surgery at major centres including Brighton, Sheffield, and St George’s Hospitals. He also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound.

In his NHS role at Bedfordshire NHS Trust, Mr Eves treats both acute injuries and long-term degenerative conditions of the upper limb. He is actively involved in teaching and training junior doctors and surgeons, and has contributed to peer-reviewed publications and book chapters within orthopaedics.

Patients value his approachable manner and clear communication. He takes time to listen carefully, explain diagnoses and treatment options in detail, and work collaboratively to develop an individualised treatment plan — whether that involves physiotherapy, injections, or surgery. When performing shoulder joint replacement or arthroscopic surgery, he focuses on meticulous planning, minimally invasive techniques where appropriate, and restoring function to allow a safe return to everyday activities.

Outside of work, Mr Eves enjoys sailing, skiing, and spending time with his family.
