Dr Thomas Erblich is a Consultant Haematologist who diagnoses and treats a wide range of blood disorders. He works at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, part of Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, where he runs a general haematology clinic and oversees the care of patients receiving treatment on the chemotherapy unit. His practice has a particular focus on Haemato-Oncology, and he serves as the named consultant for Lymphoma and as a Principal Investigator for clinical trials in haematology.

Dr Erblich graduated from the Medical University of Vienna in 2006. He completed his specialist haematology training at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in London and received his Certificate of Completion of Training in 2019.
He subsequently undertook a clinical research fellowship in haemato-oncology at Barts Cancer Institute, Queen Mary University of London, within Professor John Gribben’s lymphoma research group. In 2024, he was awarded a PhD for his research into lymphoma and non-invasive diagnostic approaches using circulating tumour DNA.
Dr Erblich has published research in peer-reviewed journals and presented his work at national and international scientific conferences. He remains actively involved in clinical research into haematological diseases and their treatment.
He is a member of the National Lymphoma Network Scientific Subgroup and participates in a British Society for Haematology guideline writing group, shaping national standards in haematology.
When more complex investigation or treatment is required, Dr Erblich works closely with specialist nurses, pathologists, radiologists, oncologists and fellow haematologists at London Bridge Hospital. This multidisciplinary approach ensures that clinical findings, imaging and laboratory results are considered together with each patient’s circumstances and preferences. Established links with specialist centres also allow patients who require advanced treatments, such as stem cell transplantation or CAR T-cell therapy, to be referred without unnecessary delay.
