Teresa has been qualified for 46 years. She has worked continuously in the NHS and private sector gaining extensive experience in all aspects of physiotherapy.

Teresa has been at Mount Alvernia for 32 years. She has studied extensively has studied extensively and specialised in In-Patients, Rheumatology, Cardiac Rehabilitation, Photo-therapy and also Pelvic Health (which includes ante and post-natal women, patients with incontinence, pelvic girdle, pelvic floor pain and men).

Teresa is passionate about giving patients the best possible treatment, care and advice in line with current NICE and CSP guidelines. Teresa belongs to several special interest groups which enable her to give current information and research data to all patients. All patients are assessed professionally, thoroughly and sympathetically. Urinary incontinence problems (for example) can be absolutely devastating to live with and to try and manage alone. The patient is always invited to have input into their progressive treatment plan. They are empowered to maintain and prevent future problems. Improving patient’s symptoms can literally change their lives.

Teresa is a triathlete and a Level 1 coach has competed for GB as an age grouper. She therefore understands the need to strengthen and maintain strength to prevent problems and injury.

She is also a Yoga teacher. Teresa’s Yoga training has contributed to improving her calm approach when helping patients with distressing symptoms.
