With over 20 years of experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, Mr. Abdelmoniem holds postgraduate qualifications including MRCOG (Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, UK) and a Master’s degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. He has also earned a Professional Diploma in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery, demonstrating his commitment to excellence.
Mr. Abdelmoniem began his training in Egypt at one of the largest tertiary maternity centres in the Middle East. His passion for minimal access surgery (keyhole surgery) led him to pursue a Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with special interest in minimal access surgery at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust, marking a pivotal phase in his career.
During his fellowship, he refined his surgical expertise through the RCOG Advanced Training in Benign Gynaecological Surgery. He further distinguished his skills by completing training in Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery, focusing on the management of endometriosis. This comprehensive training has equipped him to skilfully navigate complex cases, employing advanced surgical techniques to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
Additionally, Mr. Abdelmoniem completed the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology accredited colposcopy training , highlighting his commitment to the highest standards of care in women's health.
In addition to his clinical role, Mr. Abdelmoniem is the acute gynaecology lead and a member of the endometriosis team. He actively participates in teaching medical students and training junior doctors. He has conducted various quality improvement projects that have made a significant difference in patient care.
