Mr Talvinder Singh (Vin) is a highly experienced Consultant Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in upper limb surgery. He provides private consultations and treatments at The Meriden Hospital and also works as an NHS Consultant at Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust.
His specialist expertise covers conditions affecting the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder, including complex trauma, reconstructive surgery, and microsurgical procedures. He provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, tailored to each patient’s individual needs and goals.
Mr Singh graduated from the University of the West Indies before completing his Basic Surgical Training at The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust.
His interest in upper limb surgery developed during his time as a Hand Research Registrar at University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, where he undertook research and published work in the field of hand surgery.
He later secured a National Training Number in the South West London region, completing advanced orthopaedic training with a focus on upper limb conditions.

Mr Singh is actively involved in improving trauma and orthopaedic services. He serves as Trauma Lead within his NHS Trust and works closely with plastic surgery colleagues on complex reconstructive cases.
He is also developing a collaborative Upper Limb Service across the Black Country, supporting a multidisciplinary approach to specialist patient care.
Alongside his clinical responsibilities, Mr Singh is passionate about education and training. He teaches orthopaedic trainees, supervises foundation doctors, and provides teaching for medical students from Aston Medical School and the University of Birmingham.
He has published research within orthopaedic and hand surgery and continues to contribute to improvements in surgical techniques and patient outcomes.
