About Tabassum Manzoor

Personal Profile

Tabassum is an experienced Physiotherapist with a specialist interest in neurological rehabilitation, orthopaedic physiotherapy, and musculoskeletal care. She is passionate about helping patients improve their movement, manage pain, and regain confidence through personalised rehabilitation programmes tailored to their individual needs.

Tabassum graduated as a Doctor of Physiotherapy from King Edward Medical University, Pakistan, in 2017. During her training, she completed junior physiotherapy rotations at King Edward Medical University Mayo Hospital in Lahore, gaining valuable experience across a wide range of clinical areas. This included working with patients requiring surgical rehabilitation, orthopaedic care, neurological rehabilitation, and support for older adults.

Following her qualification, Tabassum continued to develop her clinical expertise by completing a Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in Neurology from King Edward Medical University in 2017. She later achieved a Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Manual Physiotherapy from Riphah International University in 2020, expanding her knowledge of advanced assessment, manual therapy techniques, and evidence-based rehabilitation approaches.

With more than five years of post-qualification experience, Tabassum has worked across a variety of healthcare settings, including private and government hospitals such as King Edward Medical University, Naseer Hospital, and P.S.R.D. Her experience in both inpatient and outpatient environments has allowed her to support patients with a wide range of conditions, from recovery following surgery to long-term neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation.

Tabassum has a particular interest in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals through a combination of hands-on treatment, exercise-based therapy, and personalised care plans. She also has experience in speech therapy and the assessment and treatment of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) conditions, providing a broader approach to patient wellbeing.

In 2019, following the earthquake in Pakistan, Tabassum supported the humanitarian response by working with Handicap International, assisting with rescue and rehabilitation efforts. This experience reinforced her commitment to compassionate, patient-focused care and supporting people during difficult periods of recovery.

Tabassum believes that effective rehabilitation is built on collaboration. She enjoys working as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, where physiotherapists and other professionals work together to provide the best possible outcomes for patients.

Her combination of specialist training, diverse clinical experience, and dedication to patient care allows Tabassum to provide high-quality physiotherapy support focused on improving independence, mobility, and quality of life.
