About Suzy Delves

Personal Profile

Suzy graduated from Brighton University in 2001 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy  and has specialised in musculoskeletal outpatients since 2003.

Suzy started her career at University College London Hospital but developed her specialist interest in spinal conditions whilst working as a Clinical Lead at Kings College Hospital NHS Trust. She then went on to complete her Masters in Advanced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at University College London in 2007 and became a member of the Musculoskeletal Association of Chartered Physiotherapists (MACP).  Her research was published in the journal ‘Motor Control’ in 2011. 

She joined the team at Mount Alvernia Hospital as a Spinal Specialist in 2010. Alongside her clinical work Suzy also shares the role of the Deputy Clinical Services Manager for the department. She enjoys treating a wide variety of spinal conditions and has experience treating complex spinal problems, along with patients recovering from surgery.

Suzy always adopts a patient centred approach and after a thorough assessment works with her patients to identify their specific treatment goals. Her treatment approaches include manual therapy, exercise, advice and acupuncture. She uses an evidence based approach along with her extensive clinical experience to provide the best possible treatment and outcome. 

Suzy lives in Guildford with her Husband and three children and in her spare time enjoys walking and running.
