As a specialist in problems of the foot and ankle, Miss Taylor sees adults and children with a wide range of foot problems, including arthritis affecting the foot, joint pain, skin lesions, heel pain, bunions, ingrowing toenails, toe problems/ hammer toes, neuroma, heel pain,  non-resolving foot pain following accidents and injuries, and recurring foot pain. She is a Consultant Podiatric Surgeon working within the NHS and Independent sector.

All health Insurance Companies cover consultation and treatment with this Consultant, and she holds ‘preferred provider’ status.  She sees self-pay cases (Initial consultation £200 and follow up consultations £125) 2022 rates.

Additionally, she reserves a few slots each week at each site for NHS eReferrals/named referrals from GP’s, however this referral route is only possible for patients 18 years and over.

Miss Taylor initially qualified as a Podiatrist in 1990 and has been committed to continuous learning to improve patient outcomes throughout her career, undertaking podiatric surgery training through to Completion Certificate in Podiatric Surgical Training (CCPST).

Although she held a Consultant Post in Foot Health since 2010, and was Clinical Director of adult services in Greenwich and Bexley, her first substantive NHS Consultant Podiatric Surgeon post was in 2014 when she joined Sussex NHS Trust.  Her portfolio career in Podiatric Medicine exceeds 36 years working across the local community in South East London, Sussex and Kent in both NHS and Private Practice. Ms Taylor currently holds an NHS contract with Central London Community Healthcare Trust.

She is an Independent Prescriber and is annotated as a podiatric surgeon on the regulatory body website Check the Register: Details for | (hcpc-uk.org)  Pin Number CH11035 which provides governance and assurance of meeting the 19 standards of podiatrists practising podiatric surgery.

Miss Taylor undertakes 360 appraisals within her surgical colleagues and patient group as well as contributing to the Consultant Appraisal Process.  As a recognised leader in the foot health field, she specialises in extended scope podiatric medicine & podiatric surgery. This covers the foot and associated structures.

Miss Taylor is also a registered tutor of the Royal College of Podiatry, and as the Royal College Dean of the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery (2016-2022) she takes great pride in coaching and inspiring young people to embark on a career in podiatric surgery.  In 2022 she is extremely proud to be awarded the Gold Award of the Royal College of Podiatry for her outstanding contribution to her profession.

The Children & Young Person’s foot surgery service runs through the paediatric CQC-regulated facility at the Chelsfield Park Hospital where the paediatric nursing team and anaesthetist support a wide range of operations under both general anaesthetic and local anaesthetic.  This safe and friendly service obtains excellent feedback from children, carers, and parents alike.
