Personal Profile

Dr Suzannah August qualified from the University of Edinburgh Medical School in 2001 and is a Consultant Dermatologist at Poole Hospital. She is on the UK Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. Suzannah has worked in research posts at the University of Southampton, St Mary’s Hospital Portsmouth and University of Leiden, the Netherlands. Suzannah has studied areas such as the role of the immune system in skin cancer, the effects of UV radiation on the skin and new treatments for common skin problems such as psoriasis and hand dermatitis.

She is an enthusiastic teacher of dermatology to a wide range of people including general practitioners, nurses, hospital doctors and medical students. Suzannah consults on skin conditions for both children and adults, providing a caring and supportive family dermatology service. She is able to provide up to date management of all skin disorders, including surgical and non-surgical treatments for skin cancer.
