Mr Suresh Marpuri is a distinguished Consultant Ophthalmologist with over 25 years of extensive experience. His expertise spans advanced cataract and glaucoma surgery, refractive surgery, and the management of ocular surface disorders. Mr Marpuri’s comprehensive training began with a Master of Surgery (MS) in Ophthalmology from the esteemed Manipal Academy of Higher Education, where he also contributed to Operation Eyesight Universal, a global initiative focused on eradicating avoidable blindness. His commitment to accessible eye care was further solidified by his early involvement in community outreach, screening camps, and surgical services for underserved populations. He subsequently completed a two-year fellowship in anterior segment and cataract surgery at Aravind Eye Hospital, one of the world’s leading high-volume cataract surgery centres. His international training continued in the UK at Moorfields Eye Hospital and Southend University Hospital, where he honed advanced surgical skills in glaucoma, complex cataract surgery, and ocular surface diseases, including the latest Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgeries (MIGS) such as Preserflo Microshunt, Hydrus microstent, OMNI viscodilation and canalostomy, I stent, and MINIject.

With thousands of successful surgeries to his name, Mr Marpuri is recognised for his precision and meticulous care in handling complex cases, consistently delivering personalised, evidence-based treatments that lead to excellent outcomes and an improved quality of life for his patients. Beyond his clinical practice, he is a passionate educator, actively involved in mentoring medical trainees and ophthalmology fellows, fostering critical thinking, ethical clinical practice, and patient-centred care.
