About Dr Sreekanth Vasireddy

Personal Profile

Dr Vasireddy did specialist training in Rheumatology in the Manchester Rotation receiving an MSc (Univ of Manchester), and Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST; on GMC Specialist Register). He also did subspecialist clinics and research in osteoporosis as Clinical Research Fellow in Sheffield, receiving an MD (Univ of Sheffield). He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians, London.

He started in Bolton as a Consultant Rheumatologist in 2005 (Clinical Lead 2012-2024; currently research lead and clinical governance lead for the service). He does NHS clinics at the Bolton Foundation Trust. Dr Vasireddy’s clinical practice covers the full spectrum of Rheumatology disorders, with active links with other specialists and multi-disciplinary team members. He strongly believes in a holistic approach to clinical practice, and routinely incorporates appropriate advice on life-style and non-pharmaceutical measures in his management.

He is a published author including original scientific articles and several scientific and quality-improvement abstracts. He is a higher medical education trainer, having RCP Educator accreditation, and Educational Supervisor recognition on the GMC Specialist Register, continuing to train undergraduate and post-graduate medical trainees in his NHS role.

Before higher specialist training in Rheumatology, Dr Vasireddy completed medical school (MBBS), and post-graduate training (MD, General Medicine) in India; and further post-graduate training in medical rotation in Shropshire, receiving the MRCP(UK) diploma (RCP, London).
