About Dr Smriti Saraf

Personal Profile

Dr Smriti Saraf is a highly regarded consultant cardiologist in West London, with extensive experience in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of heart disease in both men and women.

Her clinical expertise covers a wide range of cardiovascular conditions, including chest pain, angina, palpitations, breathlessness, dizziness, fainting (syncope), high blood pressure (hypertension), postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS), and heart valve disease.

Dr Saraf is deeply committed to preventive cardiology and offers comprehensive cardiac screening and hypertension management to help patients identify cardiovascular risk factors early. She also has a special interest in women’s heart health, particularly during perimenopause and menopause, a time when cardiovascular risks can increase and symptoms are often overlooked.

She obtained her MRCP (UK) in 2006 and went on to complete a Doctorate of Medicine (MD) at the University of Hertfordshire, where she researched acute coronary syndrome, focusing on the thrombotic and thrombolytic status of patients and its correlation with clinical outcomes.

Dr Saraf further specialized in interventional cardiology, completing advanced fellowships in coronary intervention in Manchester and transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) at Leeds General Infirmary. These fellowships enhanced her expertise in managing complex high-risk cardiac patients.

A strong advocate for evidence-based medicine, Dr Saraf has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented her research at leading national and international cardiology conferences. She combines clinical precision with a compassionate, patient-first approach.

Whether providing care for individuals with hypertension, angina, valve disease, or those seeking proactive heart health assessments, Dr Saraf delivers high-quality, individualized cardiology care. Her mission is to support patients in living longer, healthier lives through prevention, education, and advanced cardiac treatment.

In addition to her clinical work, Dr Saraf is an experienced expert witness and medico-legal consultant. She provides independent cardiology reports, case reviews, and expert witness testimony in legal proceedings related to cardiovascular disease.
