Mr Simon Ghalayini is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgery of the hip and knee; he has been a Consultant for over 10 years. His main area of clinical practice is joint replacement surgery.

Mr Ghalayini conducts private consultations for insured and self-pay patients at The Alexandra Hospital, where he has weekly clinics and regular operating lists. His NHS practice is based at Stepping Hill Hospital, Stockport, where he has been a Consultant since 2011.

He has been co-lead in the development and implementation of an Enhanced Recovery Programme for hip replacements and knee replacements at Stepping Hill Hospital. He uses these protocols for all hip replacements and knee replacements he performs.

He qualified from Manchester Medical School in 1999. His specialist training in Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgery was completed in the North West, this included sub-speciality training in hip and knee surgery.
