About Simon Dolin

At Goring Hall Hospital Dr Dolin can see patients for pain relief therapy for all areas of the body. He offers a variety of treatments including epidural injection, nerve root blocks, trigger point injections, sacroiliac joint injections, radio-frequency facet denervation, lumbar sympathetic block, stellate ganglion blocks, facet joint injections and vertebroplasty.

Dr Dolin also has access to the imaging department, a team of registered physiotherapists and can cross-refer to other Consultants as appropriate. His multidisciplinary approach ensures the best outcome for his patients.

Dr Dolin is an experienced Consultant in the field of Pain Medicine who has a wealth of knowledge. He completed his MB BS at the University of Western Australia in 1979; he then went onto the Royal College of Anaesthetists London where he achieved a FRCA in 1984.

Dr Dolin completed his PhD at University of London in 1988 and then FFPMRCA Fellow Faculty Pain Medicine Royal College of Anaesthetists in 2010. He has edited Pain Medicine Manual, Dolin SJ & Padfield N 1996; 2nd Edition 2004, over 30 original papers in peer reviews journals, and over 20 book chapters

Dr Dolin was lead Consultant for chronic pain service and the Primary Care Interface Musculoskeletal Team (MATT) at Western Sussex Community NHS Trust. Dr Dolin has also lectured as part of post graduate training for University of Cambridge Medical School, Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Research Fellow, MRC Clinical Reasearch Centre, Harrow, Middlesex.
