Personal profile
After graduating from Edinburgh Medical School, Mr Carr underwent higher surgical training in Otolaryngology in the Yorkshire Deanery. During his training, he undertook higher research which resulted in being awarded a MD research degree.
After gaining his CCT, Mr Carr undertook 2 prestigious clinical fellowships in Neurotology and Skull Base Surgery at Toronto General Hospital, and Paediatric Cochlear Implantation at the Hospital for Sick Children.
Following his fellowship, he was appointed as a full-time NHS Consultant at Sheffield Children's Hospital, Royal Hallamshire Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary.
Mr Carr has presented at national and international meetings and has published 39 peer-reviewed papers and 10 book chapters. He is a regular faculty member on regional temporal bone courses, as well as FRCS revision courses.
