Dr. Shveta Monga is a Consultant Cardiologist with a strong academic and clinical background, currently serving at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. She is actively involved in patient care, research, teaching, and service development, with a focus on advancing cardiovascular medicine through innovation and evidence-based practice.
Dr. Monga earned her medical degree in India in 2008 and relocated to the United Kingdom in 2009 to pursue higher medical training. She achieved Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (London) in 2014 and subsequently undertook specialist training in cardiology across the South West of England and Oxford. She has a special focus on inherited heart diseases and cardiac genetics, as well as the implantation of devices such as pacemakers and defibrillators. She is passionate about integrating cutting-edge imaging techniques and device therapies into clinical practice to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient outcomes, particularly in those with inherited heart conditions.
Beyond her clinical and research responsibilities, Dr. Monga is strongly committed to education and mentorship. She actively contributes to teaching programs for medical students, trainees, and allied health professionals, helping to shape the next generation of cardiologists. In addition, she plays a pivotal role in service development, leading initiatives to enhance cardiac care pathways and improve access to advanced therapies, including her leadership of the ICC service in Swindon.

Dr. Shveta Monga is a full-time NHS Consultant Cardiologist with expertise in general cardiology, inherited cardiac conditions, and cardiac device implantation. She has a specialist interest in managing complex cardiac arrhythmias and implanting advanced devices, including pacemakers, defibrillators, cardiac resynchronisation therapy, left bundle branch area pacing, and leadless systems.
