Mr Shashi Garg has been working with The Lancaster Hospital for more than 10 years and has extensive clinical and surgical expertise in trauma and orthopaedics, with a specialist interest in lower limb / foot and ankle surgery.
He has excellent experience across the whole range of modern knee and hip surgery, but is also internationally renowned for total ankle replacements. He is a member of the Faculty for ankle replacement training at Warwick University and Bristol and provides training for visiting surgeons from across the globe.
Mr Garg’s special interest is sports foot and ankle surgery, which includes ligament reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, Achilles tendon and plantar fasciitis surgery. He has also written many papers on this subject. Mr Garg is a recognised tutor for Liverpool University and post graduate trainer for specialist orthopaedic registrars.
