Dr Gangadhara commenced his medical studies at Rajiv Gandhi University, Papum Pare, India before undertaking specialist oncology training at Wales Deanery, UK. Dr Gangadhara was also awarded a PhD from Cardiff University, where he conducted groundbreaking research on the influence of the tumour microenvironment on drug response in breast cancer.
He is devoted to medical research, currently holding the position of principal investigator for clinical trials at the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust. Additionally, he serves as the lead for acute oncology services, reflecting his dedication to improving patient care and treatment outcomes.
Furthermore, Dr Gangadhara's passion for teaching and research is evident through his involvement in early phase drug trials for cancer patients at the Phase I unit of Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff. In addition, he collaborates with the University of Bath as a co-investigator, contributing significantly to translational colorectal cancer research.
Beyond his clinical and research contributions, Dr Gangadhara is an active member of the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO) and has a role within the BAPIO Training Academy. His commitment to public organisations demonstrates his dedication to advancing medical knowledge and healthcare practices.
