About Dr Shahzya Huda

Personal Profile

Dr Shahzya Huda qualified from University of Glasgow in 1997. The majority of her training took place in the West of Scotland.

During her training she completed a Doctor of Medicine in preeclampsia research from the University of Glasgow and became a Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Reproductive Medicine. She was appointed as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in Forth Valley Royal Hospital in 2010.

Her current NHS practice includes specialist obstetric medical clinics, laparoscopic surgery for benign gynaecological conditions including endometriosis, ovarian cysts, pelvic pain and heavy periods. She also runs a menstrual disorders/menstrual dysfunction clinic.

She continues her research interest through ongoing participation in large multicentre trials and collaborating with other research scientists and clinicians.
