As one of a select few female plastic surgeons in the UK, Miss Vamadeva has dedicated her career to providing high-quality, personalised care to her patients, with a special focus on surgical excellence and compassionate service. Miss Vamadeva’s academic journey began at the prestigious North London Collegiate School, where she was elected Deputy Head Girl in her final year. She then pursued her medical degree at Imperial College London, where she completed an additional science degree in Human Physiology alongside her studies in medicine.
Her plastic surgical training was completed in London, and she went on to complete advanced fellowships in various subspecialties, including microsurgery at Imperial College London, with a focus on breast reconstruction, abdominal wall reconstruction, and head/neck reconstruction.
Additionally, Miss Vamadeva gained valuable experience in limb reconstruction at the Royal London Hospital. Her international exposure further enriched her training through placements at renowned institutions such as the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, as well as in Sydney, India, and New Zealand, broadening her skillset and knowledge in global practices.
A passionate advocate for education and research, Miss Vamadeva has contributed significantly to the field of plastic surgery. She completed an MSc in Tissue Engineering during her surgical training and has authored over 30 publications and international presentations.
Her commitment to advancing medical knowledge is further demonstrated by her role as a Director of Undergraduate Education at Brunel Medical School, where she shapes the curriculum and mentors medical students.
Additionally, as a Royal College of Surgeons Tutor at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, Miss Vamadeva plays a pivotal role in training future plastic surgeons and fostering educational excellence.
Outside of her professional roles, Miss Vamadeva is also passionate about encouraging young women into STEM subjects, especially through her voluntary work with charities that aim to inspire the next generation of female surgeons.
