Dr Sarah Watson is a Consultant Radiologist and the Clinical Director for Radiology at the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust. She is available for reporting at Mount Alvernia Hospital.

Dr Watson has specialist expertise in head and neck imaging and neuroimaging.

Training and Appointment

Dr Sarah Watson graduated from Queens’ College, Cambridge (pre-clinical) and Imperial College School of Medicine in London in 2002.

She undertook surgical training at St George's Hospital in Tooting, London, gaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons. She subsequently joined the Radiology specialist registrar training programme at St George’s Hospital. This included attachments at Atkinson Morley’s Wing, Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospitals, all in London.

Dr Watson gained her fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists in 2009 and then progressed onto a paediatric radiology fellowship at Great Ormond Street Hospital, including training in paediatric neuroradiology. She was appointed as a Consultant Radiologist at the Royal Surrey County Hospital in 2015.

Teaching and Publications

Dr Watson has taught both small and large groups of Radiology trainees on the Kent, Surrey and Sussex training scheme and is widely published in peer-reviewed radiology journals.
