About Dr Sapna Maheshwari

Personal Profile

Dr Maheshwari is a Senior Consultant Gynaecologist based in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, Larbert. She has over 25 years of experience and is able to give expert care in menopause, heavy periods, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and pelvic pain.

After receiving her MD in obstetrics and gynaecology from Bhopal University, India, in 1997, Dr Maheshwari received further training and obtained specialist accreditation in the field from East of Scotland.

Dr Maheshwari has a major interest in outpatient gynaecology and performs diagnostic procedures in women with abnormal period bleeding. She undertakes hysteroscopy, endometrial biopsy, polyp removal, coil insertion and ablation procedures. Additionally, she offers hormone replacement therapy (HRT).

Dr Maheshwari is dedicated to improving services within her field. She is a Lead Clinician for Menopause and Fertility services in Forth Valley Royal Hospital, and she is actively involved in teaching and raising awareness of menopause and HRT.

Dr Maheshwari firmly believes in providing clear information and involving patients, as well as considering their values and preferences during the treatment.
