Dr. Chowdhury completed his clinical training in the north-west UK, award-winning doctoral research (PhD) at the University of Manchester and prestigious clinical electrophysiology fellowship in Ontario, Canada. He holds multiple cardiac electrophysiology certifications in the UK, Europe, USA and is one of the worldwide-recognised specialists featured in multiple international registers (EHRA Certified Electrophysiology Specialist - ECES, IBHRE Certified Electrophysiology and Cardiac Devices Specialist - CEPS-A & CCDS) currently serving north-west UK.
He works as a Consultant Cardiologist & Electrophysiologist at Lancashire Cardiac Centre, Blackpool Teaching Hospital NHS Trust UK, where he is also the cardiology research lead and contributes to pioneering work in advancement of heart disease care.
Dr Chowdhury has extensive expertise is in managing heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias) including atrial fibrillation, flutter, supraventricular tachycardias (SVT) including WPW, ventricular arrhythmias including prevention of sudden cardiac death, with relevant advice, medications and advanced treatments like ablations with exceptional safety and efficacy records reflected on national audits. He also provides pacemakers for conduction disturbances or failing hearts.
