Personal Profile

Mr Shahid is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic surgeon with a special interest in trauma and lower limb surgery.

He undertook his Orthopaedic and Trauma training in Wrightington, Merseyside, York and Lincoln. He has been an Orthopaedic and Trauma Consultant Surgeon at Lincoln County Hospital since 2018.  Mr Shahid completed a one year fellowship in Lower Limb arthroplasty at the Wrightington Hospital, Sir John Charnley Centre in 2015 and a knee fellowship at York Teaching Hospitals in 2016. During this period he gained familiarity with a range of techniques for managing patients with complex hip and knee problems. He has published many papers in peer reviewed Orthopaedic journals.

He has been invited to talk at national and international venues, mainly about hip and knee surgery and in course faculty for post-graduate exams in Wrightington. He also regularly teaches medical students from Nottingham and Lincoln University.
