Mr Richard Warwick Westerman is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, providing private care at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry. He also holds an NHS consultant role at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire.
He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1996 before joining the Armed Forces, where he successfully completed elite commando training and was awarded the Green Beret, going on to serve as a medical officer with a Royal Marine Commando Unit.
Following his military service, Mr Westerman completed his basic surgical training in the West Midlands, working at Selly Oak Hospital and the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital. He then undertook specialist orthopaedic training in Nottingham and Derby, before completing an advanced fellowship at the world-renowned Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre in Exeter, a leading centre for complex joint surgery.
He has further enhanced his expertise through international experience in the United States and Canada, and is actively involved in teaching surgeons both nationally and internationally.
