About Reshid Berber

Personal Profile

Mr Reshid Berber is a fellowship-trained Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with a specialist interest in Lower Limb Arthroplasty. His NHS practice is based at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, City Hospital Campus.

After graduating from University College London, he trained in London before moving to the East Midlands where he undertook specialist training on the highly regarded training programmes across both Nottingham and Leicester.

Mr Berber was awarded a PhD from University College London, for completing a programme of internationally recognised research based at the prestigious Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.

On completion of training, he went on to highly regarded national and international fellowships with renowned mentors, including a British Orthopaedic Association travelling fellowship to the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, USA. His experiences have equipped him with a breadth of knowledge and skills in managing primary joint replacement surgery and complex revision surgery. 
Mr Berber has an interest in revision hip and knee replacements and the treatment of the young patient with an arthritic knee. He can offer treatments suitable for the younger patient such as unicompartmental knee replacement and patello-femoral joint replacements where clinically appropriate. Mr Berber is a consultant member of the East Midlands Specialist Orthopaedic Network.

Mr Berber has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles and has delivered several international presentations, including at the prestigious American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons conference. He has received numerous awards in recognition of his research activities.

Mr Berber is actively involved in teaching surgical trainees, and allied health care professionals. He is a dedicated faculty member on a number of national and international teaching courses.
