Personal Profile

Dr Ravi Srinivasagopalan is a Pain Management and Anaesthesia Consultant at Circle Health Group Hospitals (Shirley Oaks, Bishop woods and Clementine Churchill). His interest is in interventional management of pain problems with particular focus on radiofrequency ablation of facet joints for pain and targeted nerve root injections.

As part of his NHS professional work, he does anaesthesia, pain intervention (injection) lists and pain clinics at The Hillingdon Hospitals Foundation Trust.

He has special interests in management of Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) when acute and Radiofrequency ablation of facet joint pain. His other interests are managing sciatic pain with targeted steroid injections to give excellent results.

Dr Srinivas understands pain is a complex problem and approaches patients case by case and strives to provide a suitable management plan on an individual basis. He is transparent with patients in explaining the symptoms and signs in detail ensuring complete understanding before working out the treatment plan.

Dr Srinivas qualified MBBS and MD( Anaesthesia) from Chennai, India before moving to UK. In UK he underwent structured training and qualifying FCARCSI in 2007 and Pain Fellowship FFPMRCA in 2009.

His Training involved rotating through various hospitals which includes Guy’s and St. Thomas’, St. Georges, Frimley Park, Epsom & St. Helier, Croydon, East Surrey, Hayward’s Heath Hospitals.

He obtained his CCT in 2010 and joined Hillingdon Hospitals in 2011 and he is substantive consultant since 2015.

He does anaesthesia practice for various specialities of surgery, including Orthopaedics, Urology and General Surgery.

Dr Srinivas consults and operates at Shirley Oaks on Mondays and other Circle Health Group Hospital's by appointments (Bishops Wood and Clementine Churchill hospitals).

At Hillingdon Hospital, Dr Ravi Srinivas is the faculty tutor for pain trainees (module and advance level) and is chair for haematology and transfusion committee. He is one of the firm leads for Imperial College London undergraduate students, not only being involved in teaching but he is also an examiner for Third Year MBBS students. He is part of the faculty for MBBS recruitment for Imperial Medical School.

Dr Srinivas accepts referral from both all major insurers as well as self-funded patients.

In his spare time, Dr Srinivas is active in theatrical work and likes to watch cricket, cook and spend time with his family. He also has a keen interest in pain awareness and does television programmes on related topics.
