About Mr Raman Dega

Personal Profile

Mr R Dega is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Wexham Park and Heatherwood Hospitals Trust. He trained on the Royal London Orthopaedic rotation which included working at the Royal National Orthopaedic hospital Stanmore. During his training he worked for two past presidents of the British Orthopaedic foot and ankle society. This influenced Mr Dega to specialize in foot and ankle surgery when he was appointed as consultant in 1998. Mr Dega specialises in minimal invasive surgery for bunion problems, ankle arthroscopy, ankle replacement, ankle fusions and sports injuries of the lower limb.

Mr Dega can see and consult on children of all ages. Whilst most young children can be managed without surgery, when it is required, he undertakes this at The Princess Margaret Hospital for children aged 3 and above.

Mr Dega maintains a keen interest in research and has published regular articles in medical journals. He is a Trainer for Orthopaedics and has been on the Regional Oxford Orthopaedic Training Committee for the past seven years. He also organises and Co- Chairs the Annual Wexham Park Foot and Ankle meeting. He is also an invited speaker at National and International meetings.
