About Mr Rakesh Bhardwaj

Personal Profile

Mr Bhardwaj completed his undergraduate training at Bristol University. After undertaking basic surgical training in Manchester he pursued his colorectal surgical interests with a two and a half year period of research at UCL towards his doctorate.

Mr Bhardwaj then underwent a higher surgical training in General and Colorectal Surgery in London and South East England.

Throughout this period he gained significant experience in both General Surgery with specific specialist interests in the fields of Colorectal surgery. This includes colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease and functional bowel disease.

After having completed his training he then underwent a period of further formal Colorectal training at St. Marks Hospital.

After this, Mr Bhardwaj pursued, and has continued his interests in Laparoscopic training with an industry sponsored fellowship in Laparoscopic Colorectal Training.

He has maintained the above interests with a keen interest in academia which he believes is beneficial to any practice.
