Dr Raju Bhadresha is a highly experienced Consultant Anaesthetist and Pain Management Specialist based at Chaucer Hospital in Canterbury, Kent. With over three decades of clinical expertise, Dr Bhadresha is renowned for his compassionate, patient-centred approach and his commitment to delivering cutting-edge interventional pain therapies.

He qualified in medicine from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, in 1987, and went on to complete advanced training in Anaesthesia, Pain Medicine, and Neuromodulation across the UK and the United States, including Richmond, Virginia. Since 1998, he has served as a Consultant in Pain Medicine and Anaesthesia at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust.

Dr Bhadresha specialises in the diagnosis and treatment of complex chronic pain conditions, including low back pain, neck pain, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS), and trigeminal neuralgia. His clinical interests include radiofrequency denervation, spinal cord stimulation, and the implantation of intrathecal pumps—minimally invasive techniques that offer significant relief for patients with persistent pain.

He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists and an active member of several professional bodies, including the British Pain Society, the European Society of Anaesthesiology, and the World Institute of Pain. He holds a Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine, reflecting his advanced expertise in this field.
