Mr Peravali is available most days for remote consultations and certainly with in 24 hours. He can be contacted through his website, secretaries or through the private hospital's bookings teams.

Mr Peravali qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2004 and since then has undergone the highest level of training in general and colorectal surgery. Over the last 15 years he has trained in some of the biggest and best surgical units in the country. These include University Hospital Birmingham, Norfolk and Norwich University hospital and Cambridge University hospital. His training culminated in being selected for the prestigious “John Goligher Fellowship in advanced Coloproctology.” During this fellowship Mr Peravali further developed highly specialised skills in keyhole surgery, bowel cancer surgery, surgery for inflammatory bowel disease and the management of functional problems of the pelvic floor (particularly prolapse, constipation and faecal incontinence).

He has further developed these skills during his own consultant practice and often helps other consultant colleagues with the more difficult and challenging cases.

Mr Peravali is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He has also been awarded the degree of Master of Surgery from the University of Edinburgh after examination of his advanced knowledge of general and colorectal surgery and submission of a research dissertation. His research on enhanced recovery after surgery has subsequently been presented and published nationally and internationally.

Mr Peravali has particular skills in key hole surgery. Almost 90 % of his major colorectal surgery is performed by key hole means. He has particular skills in using key hole means for redo surgery. Mr Peravali has a special interest in inflammatory bowel disease (Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn’s Disease) and performs complex operations for these conditions often by key hole. He is currently the lead Inflammatory Bowel Disease surgeon at SWBH. He is also highly trained and interested in the treatment of functional disorders of the pelvic floor. He offers state of the art treatments for incontinence, constipation and prolapse. Mr Peravali also has a busy practice in the management of cancer of the Colon and Rectum. He is an accredited colonoscopist and performs these tests to look for bowel cancer.

Mr Peravali also offers key hole surgery for all types of hernias and gall stones where appropriate. Mr Peravali also offers consultations and modern techniques for the management of haemorrhoids, anal fissures and anal fistulas.

Mr Peravali has performed well over 6000 major and minor surgeries and has trained many junior surgeons and several consultant colleagues in major key hole colorectal resections.
