Dr Rajeev Kumar is a Consultant in Acute Medicine, Diabetes and Endocrinology at Bedford Hopsital NHS Trust,Bedford. He was born in India and graduated from Delhi University in 1993. He undertook his specialist training in Eastern Deanery (Cambridge rotation) and during his career has worked at professorial units at Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge, Luton and Dunadtable Hospital and QE2 hospital in Welwyn Graden City.

His clinical practice includes the management of a wide range of endocrine disorders including management type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus, hypoglycaemia, insulin pumps, hypertension, hyperlipidaemia, thyoid, parathyroid and adrenal disorders, electrolyte disturbances, osteoporosis and general internal medical conditions.

He has published sveral papers in the fields of diabetes.

Dr Kumar has been a consultant since 2008, initially at Lister Hospital (Stevenage) and moved to Bedford Hospital in Feb 2010 . He is a member of various committees at Bedford Hopsital.
