Dr Raj Khiani is a Consultant Cardiologist who sees NHS patients at:

Raj is trained in general cardiology and is able to deliver broad general cardiology care but also works as a sub-specialist in cardiac devices, heart arrhythmia and heart failure. 

Dr Khiani is available for appointments at The Saxon Clinic Milton Keynes, for all common cardiac conditions including:

  • Chest pain
  • Heart palpitations
  • Atrial fibrillation
  • High blood pressure
  • Shortness of breath
  • Hypertension
  • Blackouts
  • Valvular heart disease

He is registered with all major private medical insurance companies although not AXA, he will also see patients who wish to pay for their own consultation and treatment.

Although consultations are available at Saxon Clinic, any surgical treatments that are required will be done at other facilities.

Raj is able to provide the following specialist cardiac procedures:

  • Diagnostic angiography (femoral or radial approach)
  • Transthoracic echocardiography
  • Trans-oesophageal echocardiography
  • Bradycardia pacemakers
  • Implantable cardioverter defibrillators
  • Cardiac resynchronisation therapy

As an experienced General Cardiologist, Dr Khiani is committed to providing holistic patient focused care.  He believes in making an accurate diagnosis and provides a clear explanation to his patients including a discussion around the cardiac diagnosis and its physical and emotional impact on their health.

In 1995, Dr Khiani qualified from the Royal Free Hospital and went on to perform junior doctor posts in and around North London.  He continued with Registrar posts in Papworth and completed 2 years of research in Manchester.  He then secured a Registrar training rotation in the South Thames Deanery and completed posts in Brighton, St Georges Hospital and Guys and St Thomas’ Hospitals, before completing his rotation and securing his first consultant post in Milton Keynes and Oxford.
