About Mr Rahij Anwar

Personal Profile

Mr Anwar is a lower limb surgeon with a special interest in knee and hip surgery.

Following completion of higher surgical training in orthopaedics in London (SE Thames), he pursued an AOA accredited fellowship in knee and hip surgery in Sydney, which he successfully completed in 2013.

Before joining Pilgrim Hospital in Boston (Lincolnshire) as a substantive consultant knee surgeon, Mr Anwar worked in different NHS hospitals as a consultant for a couple of years.

Besides publishing research articles in the peer reviewed journals, he has also authored orthopaedic books. He has been a regular columnist for the BMA News magazine for over 10 years.

Mr Anwar has also written articles of general interest in the medical press in support of patients.
