Mr Qutayba Almerie is a fellowship-trained highly experienced consultant surgeon specialising in weight loss (bariatric) and upper gastrointestinal surgery.
He offers expert care in treating conditions such as obesity, acid reflux, gallstones, and abdominal wall hernias, using the latest keyhole (minimally invasive) surgical techniques.
Mr Almerie holds an NHS consultant post at Manchester Royal Infirmary (part of Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust). He is also the Programme Director of the Royal College of Surgeons-accredited Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Phoenix Health — a nationally recognised programme that trains future weight loss surgeons.
He completed his surgical training at top centres in the Yorkshire region, including Leeds, Hull, and Bradford, followed by undertaking a dedicated two-year fellowship in advanced minimally invasive bariatric (weight loss) surgery.
