About Philippe Bowles

Personal Profile

Mr Bowles brings a friendly and professional approach to his clinical practice, and holds a substantive ENT Consultant post at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust at The Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and at Worthing hospital.

Mr. Bowles graduated from Brighton & Sussex Medical School and completed his specialist Higher Surgical Training Kent Sussex & Surrey Deanery, including subspecialist training in Paediatric ENT at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children.

In addition to his clinical work, Mr. Bowles has published over 35 publications in peer review medical and surgical journals, and has presented his research at national and international academic meetings and conferences in across Europe, America and the Middle East.

He was awarded a full scholarship for his Masters Degree (MCh) in surgery, for which obtained a distinction.

He is the ENT Clinical Educational Lead at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Trust, overseeing the training and clinical development of the junior ENT surgical team. He is a member of the teaching faculty for the Masters Programme in Surgical Sciences at The Brighton & Sussex Medical School, and a faculty member on the annual International Brighton Endoscopic Orbital & Lacrimal Course.

  • Nasal and sinus surgery
  • Works in collaboration with Eye surgeons in the management of complex eye and 
    lacrimal cases with keyhole (endoscopic transnasal) surgery.
