About Ms Petra Groot

Personal Profile

Petra qualified as a physiotherapist from the Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen in The Netherlands in 1996 and came to the UK in 1997. Petra previously worked at an acute NHS trust in outer London for almost 17 years and joined The Sloane team on a part time basis.

After a few years working in several NHS musculo-skeletal outpatient departments in the whole of England, Petra started work in Hand Therapy for the NHS in 2003 and started at Circle's Hendon Hospital in 2020 with a special interest in hand therapy for musicians.

Petra has completed post-graduate courses with the British Association of Hand Therapists. She also continues to be a member of the Dutch Association for Hand Therapy.

Petra has specialised in Hand therapy from 2000 and has an MSK background. With numerous specialist hand therapy course from the British association of Hand Therapist under her belt.

Petra uses a variety of treatment techniques including manual therapy, exercises therapy, splinting and kineso-taping. Sha an affinity for the treatment of musicians.
