Dr Peter Glennon is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist providing private care at The Meriden Hospital in Coventry. He has been a Consultant at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust since 2001, where he has also served as Cardiology Lead Clinician since 2004.
He qualified in medicine with an Honours degree from the University of Leeds in 1987 and completed specialist cardiology training in London and Cambridge. During this time, he undertook advanced research at the National Heart and Lung Institute in London, focusing on the cellular mechanisms of cardiac hypertrophy and gene transfer techniques in cardiac cells.
His research led to the award of an MD (Doctor of Medicine) with Distinction in 1996, reflecting his strong academic foundation alongside clinical expertise.
Dr Glennon later became Director of the UHCW Cardiology Training Programme, which received commendation following external review in 2013, highlighting his leadership and contribution to clinical education.
