Personal Profile

Mr Craig is a highly skilled Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon whose main clinical practice is based at Droitwich Spa Hospital. He also works within the NHS at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, where he specialises in the management of hip and knee arthritis and complex joint replacement surgery.

He graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2008 and completed his basic surgical training across the West Midlands. He then progressed onto the prestigious Oswestry Orthopaedic Training Programme, where he developed advanced expertise in lower limb reconstruction and joint replacement surgery.

During his training, Mr Craig was awarded the Professor’s Medal in recognition of his research into patient-reported outcomes following total knee replacement surgery. He also completed a Master of Science with Distinction at University College London and became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2017.

Following completion of specialist training, he undertook two advanced fellowship posts in joint replacement surgery. The first was at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire, followed by an internationally renowned fellowship at the Holland Orthopaedic and Arthritic Centre in Toronto, Canada, where he gained extensive experience in complex hip and knee reconstruction.

He was appointed as a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust in June 2020. Since then, he has developed a specialist practice focused on the assessment and treatment of hip and knee arthritis, offering both primary and complex revision joint replacement procedures.

Mr Craig is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, using the latest evidence-based surgical techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance long-term outcomes. Through his practice at Droitwich Spa Hospital, he provides specialist orthopaedic care tailored to each patient’s individual needs, ensuring a personalised approach from diagnosis through to recovery.
