Personal Profile

Mr Trikha is an experienced Consultant Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising exclusively in knee surgery and conditions of the knee, with a focus on knee preservation. He is passionate about sports and ski knee injuries in both adults and young adults and offers expertise in the latest minimally-invasive arthroscopy or keyhole surgery techniques for meniscus (cartilage) and knee ligament reconstruction and repair (ACL & PCL.

 

Training and Appointment

Mr Trikha qualified from St George’s Hospital, London and completed his postgraduate orthopaedic training in London and South East England. Paul completed Specialist Fellowship Training in knee surgery at the internationally renowned North Sydney Orthopaedics Sports Medicine Centre, Australia. Mr Trikha is committed to employing the latest techniques and technology in both surgical and non-surgical treatments, for early and advanced knee arthritis including knee preserving/replacement surgery, total knee replacement, partial knee replacement and new robotic knee replacements.


Research and Publications

Mr Trikha is active in research, with current interests including new techniques in knee preservation, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, and meniscal (cartilage) repair. He has published and presented extensively on knee surgery, trauma and sports injuries and joint replacement and is regularly invited to lecture both nationally and internationally. He is a keen teacher and continues to teach and supervise the training of postgraduate knee surgery for Specialist Registrars.


Current Practice

Mr Trikha takes an active role in his patients' rehabilitation, working closely with physiotherapists to expediate a potentially quicker recovery and return to activity/sport for his patients. He also provides a comprehensive specialist knee service for patella (kneecap) problems and dislocations. He offers the very latest cutting-edge knee preservation and regenerative techniques including stem cell treatments (AMIC, BMAC), Platelet Rich Plasjavascript:void(0);ma (PRP) and hyaluronic acid (HA) injection therapy.
