About Dr Paul Rees

Personal Profile

Dr Paul Rees trained at St Bartholomew’s Hospital Medical College, and after a thorough grounding in acute medicine and critical care he was selected for higher professional training in adult cardiology.

He is accredited as a consultant in both cardiology and internal medicine, with subspecialty training in interventional cardiology, treating heart disease using minimally-invasive stent procedures.

He worked for two years as Research Fellow at the world-leading Hatter Cardiovascular Institute in London, where he published his doctoral research thesis.

Dr Paul Rees sees all general cardiology and general medical patients but has a special interest in the assessment of chest pain, high blood pressure, heart disease in diabetes, coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary intervention.  He is also experienced in managing high-risk occupational groups such as divers and motorsport professionals.
