About Mr Paul Maguire

Personal Profile

Mr Paul Maguire qualified from University College London in 1999. He undertook his higher surgical training in the North West. He obtained his fellowship training in the Knee Unit at Bolton. This gave him a wide range of experience in knee and hip surgery including sports injuries and revision arthroplasty.

During this time he attended conferences at home and in the U.S.A. Also during this time, Mr Maguire obtained a postgraduate Master of Science in Orthopaedic Technology from the University of Dundee. He was appointed as Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay in 2011. 

His surgical interests include knee and hip replacement including revision surgery. He also specialises in injuries around the knee - surgery for these include ligament reconstruction and cartilage repair. He also has a special interest in Patello-Femoral problems including surgery to prevent patella dislocation.
