Mr Parijat Bhattacharjee is a Consultant Gynaecologist & Obstetrician with more than 16 years of experience in the field. He has had extensive experience in all aspects of the specialty during his specialist training in the U.K., including at Royal London & St. Bartholomew's, Royal Free, University College London, and University of Leicester hospitals. He further trained as a Clinical Research Fellow for two years at the Early Pregnancy, Gynaecology Ultrasound, and Minimal Access Surgery unit at St. George's Hospital, London. Additionally, he was a trainee at the Minimal Access Therapy unit at the Royal Free Hospital. Mr Bhattacharjee has Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (RCOG) Advanced Skills accreditation in laparoscopic and hysteroscopic surgery and in gynaecology (and early pregnancy) scanning and emergencies.

Mr Bhattacharjee has special interests in gynaecology ultrasound and early pregnancy problems, including recurrent and late miscarriages, poor obstetric history, ectopic pregnancies, and one-stop gynaecology clinics, particularly for pelvic pain and irregular or heavy vaginal bleeding. He provides his expertise in ultrasound scanning at the initial clinic consultation and offers a comprehensive treatment plan and follow-up, including surgery if necessary. He has also been involved in the ovarian cancer screening programme at St. George's Hospital and in ultrasound and hysteroscopic assessment for peri- and post-menopausal bleeding.

He is actively engaged in research and teaching, training postgraduate trainees from Imperial College School of Medicine and regularly presenting in educational forums for GPs and medical trainees. Mr. Bhattacharjee also trains specialist registrars in gynaecology ultrasound for the RCOG Advanced Skills modules.

With multiple presentations at national and international conferences and publications in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters, he is currently pursuing research in early pregnancy problems, gynaecology ultrasound, ovarian tumour analysis, and obstetrics. His dedication to advancing gynaecological care has earned him a reputation as a leading expert in his field, focused on innovation and patient-centric outcomes.

Outside his clinical work, Mr. Bhattacharjee is actively involved in voluntary initiatives, including the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine-WHO initiative, aimed at reducing maternal and infant mortality in resource-poor countries. He is fluent in English, Bengali, Hindi, and Urdu and is highly regarded for his compassionate approach to patient care and commitment to advancing gynaecological medicine.
