Dr Omar Shaikh is a Consultant Cardiologist and Electrophysiologist based at the Royal Worcester Hospital, where he has been practicing since November 2023. He specialises in the management of heart rhythm disorders, with expertise in both general cardiology and advanced electrophysiology procedures.

Dr Shaikh completed his training in general cardiology with sub-specialty focus in electrophysiology and device implantation. He has a particular interest in treating conditions such as palpitations, syncope, chest pain, hypertension, and breathlessness. He performs over 150 procedures annually, including ablation for atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), AV node ablation, and pacemaker, defibrillator, CRT, and implantable loop recorder (ILR) insertions.

In his NHS practice, Dr Shaikh runs two cardiology clinics each week, where he sees patients with a wide range of cardiovascular concerns. He offers both face-to-face and remote consultations (video and telephone), ensuring flexible, accessible care.

Driven by a strong commitment to patient-centred medicine, Dr Shaikh works closely with individuals to develop personalised treatment plans and management strategies. His goal is to deliver high-quality, compassionate care while empowering patients to take an active role in their heart health.
