Mr Fafemi is a highly experienced Consultant Surgeon specialising in General Surgery, Breast Surgery, and procedures like Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery, and Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy (keyhole gallbladder removal).
He graduated from the University of Ibadan Medical School in Nigeria and continued his training in the UK, earning prestigious fellowships from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and England.
Following his training, Mr Fafemi gained extensive experience in General Surgery at various hospitals in the UK. He then further specialised in Breast Surgery, including Oncoplastic Surgery (breast-conserving surgery with the aim of preserving the best possible cosmetic outcome).
Mr Fafemi held senior positions at North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust and the Royal Free Hospital Hampstead Foundation Trust, where he served as Lead Breast Surgeon and Clinical Director for Surgical Specialties. He is also a respected educator, holding honorary senior lecturer positions at Royal Free & UCL Medical School and St. George's University Medical School in Grenada. He has been an active mentor to younger surgeons, serving as an Educational and Clinical Supervisor for postgraduate trainees.
Mr Fafemi remains actively involved in clinical practice, providing expert care in Breast and General Surgery
He is also a partner in International Integrated Breast Services, a multidisciplinary team focused on the entire management of breast cancer from diagnosis to survivorship in Nigeria.
