Mr Shah qualified in 2004 from The University of Manchester, and is currently a Consultant Trauma Orthopaedic at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust.

He has completed the prestigious Charnley fellowship from Wrightington Hospital, with a further fellowship in Revision Arthroplasty and Pelvic Surgery. Mr Shah sub-specialises in lower limb arthroplasty, revision, trauma and infected arthroplasty.

Mr Shah has published and presented both nationally and internationally at orthopaedic meetings, and is a mentor to medical students and junior doctors.

Mr Shah performs the following:

  • Arthroplasty: Total hip replacement (cemented/ hybrid/ uncemented), total knee replacement, uni-compartmental knee replacement, patellofemoral replacement, custom and patient-specific implants, robotic surgery, revision hip and knee procedures, periprosthetic infection and fracture procedures
  • Arthroscopy: Knee arthroscopy procedures, including meniscal repair
  • Biological treatments: Femoral head avascular necrosis procedures, bone grafting procedures (for bone loss or augmentation)
  • Sports injuries: Upper and lower limb injection therapies (steroid/ PRP/Ostenil), injection therapies using biologics
