About Nisha Rhodes

Personal Profile

Nisha Rhodes qualified as a Physiotherapist from Manchester University with a BSc (Hons) degree in 1997. She has over 20 years’ experience in musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy within both the NHS and private sector.  She joined Mount Alvernia as a Senior Outpatient Physiotherapist almost 12 years ago, working three days a week including Saturdays should patients find it more convenient to visit at the weekend.

Nisha treats spinal, neck, shoulders, elbow, hip, knee, ankle and foot issues. Her special areas of interests are the neck, back, shoulder, vestibular rehabilitation (BBPV, visual vertigo, neuritis, labyrinthitis and cervicogenic issues) and headaches/migraines. She also provides acupuncture if needed, alongside exercises, education and manual therapy. She is a very hands-on Physiotherapist and believes that a successful treatment outcome results from collaboration between the Physiotherapist and the patient. She is passionate about her job and goes the extra mile in order to make sure that patients under her care feel valued and get the best evidence based treatment available. Nisha is very keen on maintaining an up-to-date CPD and is currently registered with the HCPC, CSP and the AACP.

Nisha aims to have a  good work life balance throughout. Aside from work, she enjoys walks with her husband and daughter, swimming lengths, non fiction reading, watching movies, spending time with friends and dancing. She also writes in her spare time in order to keep her creative side active as well as to break up her usual routine of work, reading and exercise.
