Personal Profile

Nina studied Physiology and Pharmacology at Oxford University before graduating in medicine from Cambridge University in 2008. She completed clinical training in the Cambridge area before moving back to Sussex to qualify as a GP.

She developed a special interest in women’s health and in particular, management of the menopause which came to the fore through a combination of her clinical practice and leadership work. She has completed advanced training with the British Menopause Society and leads on menopause in her NHS practice.

Alongside clinical practice in the NHS she has previously held national medical leadership roles as an advisor to the CEO of the NHS, Sir David Nicholson, as a commissioner and as Medical Director of digital medical services, responsible for leading all aspects of clinical quality, safety and strategy. She continues to consult for companies on the design and delivery of services.

She believes there is a huge opportunity to optimise women’s health and wellbeing around mid-life and that this is an area that has been neglected for too long. Not only is the right thing to do at an individual level, it is also imperative in creating the conditions for an equal society.

She specialises in all aspects of menopause management, particularly hormone replacement therapy (HRT) and non-hormonal treatments.
