About Mr Nick Kopsachilis

Personal Profile

Mr Nick Kopsachilis is a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with a wide range of experience, specialising in complex cornea, cataract and laser refractive surgery. 

He has completed his ophthalmology training in Germany's most prestigious ophthalmic hospitals in Munich and Nuremberg and continued with his subspecialty training in UK's leading Moorfields Eye Hospital and King's College Hospital in London.
 
Since 2016 he has been leading the Cornea Service at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust and in 2019 he has become the Clinical Lead for Ophthalmology. Nick has a keen interest in research and has published more than 70 peer reviewed scientific articles. 
 
He is a fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists and a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, German Ophthalmic Society and Hellenic Society of Intraocular Implant and Refractive Surgery.
